Length sets the capacity
The tunnel is configured per site: arch sequence, optional equipment and conveyor length. Standard modules run from 9 to 30 m, and longer tunnels are built to order.
Capacity follows length, arch sequence and conveyor speed. Up to 130 cars an hour can be washed and dried in a long tunnel. Shorter lines wash 30 to 60. Vehicles up to 220 cm wide and 250 cm high go through, and the conveyor runs at two speeds.

Power and water on a full length site
A full length tunnel runs on 480 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, and the customer supplies the 480 V transformer. The general arrangement lists about 30 branch circuits, from 0.58 to 50 A, with drives on nine.
Water is reclaimed through three 2,000 US gal tanks in series, a 750 US gal oil and water separator and 2,650 US gal of treated water storage. A reclaim unit more than 60 ft from the tanks needs a larger suction line. Shorter lines scale down from these figures.
Standard on every tunnel
Eleven accessories come on every model, including a horizontal brush system with digital pressure control, a conveyor speed controller, one chemical dosing pump for shampoo, foam and varnish, a digital operator panel with a color screen, touchless photo-optical start, indoor lighting, collision control, and emergency start and stop buttons at the entrance and exit. Brush and exterior colors are chosen per order.

- The customer. The full length tunnel is specified at 480 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, and the 480 V transformer is supplied by the customer.
- Can I see a tunnel running in Florida?
- Yes. Ali's Car Wash at 3821 SW College Rd, Ocala, runs a conveyor tunnel that Europe Makine built, installed and operates. It is open 9 AM to 9 PM.
- What chemistry does the tunnel apply?
- Active shampoo, foam and a varnish (wax) coat, all laid by one dosing pump. The example layout adds a lava foam arch with triple foam in three colors.
